Yes, It's Another Sparkle Girlz Post

I swear this is the last time I'll post about Sparkle Girlz clothes.... this year, lol. I'm sure you're as sick of me going on about Sparkle clothes as I am, but dang, they just keep upping the ante with their fashion sense and choices.

This latest batch has some wonderful fabric patterns and they are adding additional trimmings and fringe with less use of serger stitches. I am highly impressed.

Never would I wear this but I like the bold fabric.

Again, not two pieces I would put together but I like the design.

They always have a cute graphic print.

I cant recall if these were eyelet shorts or a skirt.

The little puff ball piping in the shorts is cute!

Love this together and as separates.

Not my style, but that rose print is gorgeous

This fabric is the coolest. Very Coachella.

Way back in my misspent youth I would have dug all these colors.

Okay, I detest this dress, but I appreciate the fabric.

Working that hot pleather!

There were about 15 more fashions that I didn't photograph. The Walmart clerk was eyeballing me 'cause she was trying to straighten the isle, so I hurried up and photo'd my favorites. You'll have to locate the rest of them yourselves. Happy searching!

Lori Gourmet Market

I've seen these on other blogs ages ago, but it was my first time finding them in person and I had a coupon so yay!

World Peacekeepers Search

Thanks to Jay's Doll Space I found out that new WP guys had been released. I wasn't expecting them in my area because for the last two years my BigLots had stopped selling them. I was happily surprised to find them in stock!

Christmas in October and a Hurricane

Tis the season!

My family and I made out okay during the hurricane that hit Florida last Friday with minimal damage and only a few annoyances. However, it looked like a lumberjack convention was held at my apartment complex. I still love living in Florida though.

Barbie Cruise Ship

Found at the Thrift Store for $12 I think this is my least favorite set of all the ones I've come across. It's interesting, but to apply a bad pun, it doesn't float my boat. It's missing the top deck stuff and pool, and it didn't come with the camera you need to have it make sounds. But the sound panel is corroded anyway because of battery leakage.

Fully loaded, it originally looked like this:

It's decent enough for photo ops, but if I was going to customize it, I would separate it and remove the caption's bridge. I'm too lazy for that though.

If there is anyone near Jacksonville, FL who wants it, you can have it. You have to meet me at the 103rd Street Public Library any Saturday after 1PM. I'm keeping all the accessories though! First person to email my Yahoo at heyitsmuff with a date and time and it's yours.

Barbie Camping Fun Accessories

I forgot to take individual photos of these new accessories, so here's a blurry capture from the video:

Not that my dolls are big campers, but I do like these accessories and for the price they seem worth it quality wise. The fire wood looks a tad poopy-esque by itself, but I'm sure once you stick the flame in it, it'll look more firey. My favorite item is the lantern. It looks warm and robust. The pillow is the only item that seems off. Or perhaps when people camp they take hard as crap plastic pillows to sleep on.

Best Video Editing App For Your Phone?

I have been messing around with phone video editing apps and below is a trailer I made using iMovie, Videorama and PocketVideo.

iMovie came with my phone but I believe it costs $5 in the app store and there are no additional fees or add ons you can get. It's a basic editor without many features or thrills.

Videorama is tricky with their pricing. It's free to use if you don't mind a watermark in the corner. To get rid of the watermark it costs $3.99. To add additional features it costs $.99 for each one, of which there are 10. For one item you can unlock it for free if you leave a review. They recently did an update where for $5.99 you can unlock everything they offer. Videorama has HUNDREDS more features than iMovie and access to free stock videos and images via Pixabay.

PocketVideo is suspiciously free and has no watermark. However, after creating a few videos it will force you to complete a survey where it asks you if you would be willing to pay for the app by features, by subscription or by a flat fee. PocketVideo has THOUSANDS more features than iMovie and Videorama combined. It is chocked full of imagery and options and it's also directly tied to YouTube. You can access the YouTube music library and any public video in case you want to do video reviews. PocketVideo is also the worst to work with and is glitchy beyond measure. Truly, all three apps are glitchy, but PocketVideo is seriously the worst. It's good for creating opening and ending titles. But for editing your video? Not really.

If you are looking for flash and dazzle and lots of gifs floating in your videos, choose Pocket Video. If you want nice effects and can spare about $10, choose Videorama. Want simple clean videos with a few effects, then iMovie is the way to go. OR, if you're a little ditzy like me, get all three and mash 'em up!

Barbie Bath & Bubbles House

It's been raining all week and I was feeling cooped up. What better way to entertain myself than to finally open up and do research on one of my dusty year old thrift store finds. As usual, it's missing all the accessories, but for $3.95 I can't complain.

I'm always appreciative of the technical aspects of the fold & store designs Mattel creates. This one is quite impressive. It's coloring aside, the set feels like a small French studio with its bustling venue outside and compact living inside.

New Mattel Releases

My Walmart has completely revamped their toy isles and shockingly, the Barbie stuff is no longer at the front of the center isle. It's been moved all the way to the end of the row. How very curious! Anyway, with the revamp came some new items:
I was messing with the box and the arms can only be pushed down. You cant raise them up or put them in any other position. Hopefully they were just tied down and that's why I couldn't move them.

I like this face. She reminds me of the youngest Obama daughter.
But uh, that's not where your heart is.

This looks pretty neat! I like the brick detailing and the burner and pot are stylized as well. The fact that it's not pinked out is also a surprising bonus.

Well, it's pink, lol, but they had to make something pink, I guess. It does have a nice register and cute deserts going for it.

Yes, very nice! Something I would expect to see at an amusement park or at the beach. I could have done without the Barbie logo on the awning, but you are either going to get pink or the logo. Thems the rules.

The prices are about average but I don't see why the addition of play doh makes the Spaghetti Chef cost 5 dollars more.

Check out the video for some close up details

Dolls & Collectibles at Barnes & Noble

Barnes & Nobles is the main pit stop on my walk route because they have the nicest bathroom with warm water and actual paper towels instead of blowing hand dryers. I can also play Pokémon Go while in the bathroom because it's also a Poke Stop... too much info? Yes, probably.

Anyway, they have a HUGE variety of doll and collectible items, including some imports that you usually only see at comic book stores. Here's a looksee:

A Quick Stop at Target

Last week it was Walmart's Sparkle stuff and this week, here are some of the Barbie clothing and dolls I saw on the shelves at Target. I was in a hurry so I didn't get all up close and personal with items, so I don't know if the fashions are half patterned as usual.

This is the only one where I like every single item

For $19.99, I say that's actually a decent price for a doll and three fashions. More than I would want to spend, of course, but a good bargain if you're okay with paying full price. They could have thrown in one more pair of shoes though.

Sparkle Girlz Dolls & Clothes

I was astounded to find that my local Walmart actually had some Sparkle stuff in stock. I usually have to visit out of the way Walmarts to find anything but today I was lucky!

I had only seen the little kids in cones before but now they have some fairy types and regular girls. I'm not into the dolls, so I don't think I'd pay $4.94 just for these outfits.

They had a lot of single outfits still for $1.97. They really keep improving the design and the quality.

These were my favorites out of the bunch.

I don't know how they can keep this up at that price point, but I hope they continue.
